Each cleaned file is scanned a second time using the same checks. “Rechecked” means that pass found no further supported removals. It is not an independent privacy, security or AI-detection certification.

What this tool does not remove

Watermarks woven into the content. Some generators hide a signal inside the pixels or the audio itself (Google’s SynthID, for example). That is part of the picture, not metadata, so it stays.
Statistical text watermarks. Signals encoded in word choices, including Claude’s current text watermark, are not removed by metadata or hidden-character cleanup.
Writing style. Chat phrases and unfilled placeholders are flagged for you to edit. Your sentences are never rewritten.
Text printed on PDF pages. PDF metadata is cleaned; to change visible text, edit the source document and export again.
Password-protected or signed files. Remove the protection first. Cleaning breaks a digital signature by design.
